ABOUT ME

Growing up

I was surrounded by the arts from a young age and discovered my passion for film at the age of 6 after a trip to Universal Studios. I was hooked, and spent my youth making short films with my twin brother. We made countless narrative short films that usually concluded with explosions and dramatic deaths. It became apparent that as my technical skills grew I needed to learn the art of storytelling and producing.

In my arts focused High School, I was encouraged to perfect my craft and went on to win numerous awards and scholarships at statewide film festivals. My path in college started in Ellensburg Washington, to London England, and ended in Boston Massachusetts where I went on to complete a Bachelors in Film Directing at Emerson College. There, I was given the opportunity to produce greater scale projects and lead large teams.

I currently reside in New York City and continue to collaborate with film professionals.

"Schwartz is achieving things that a lot of young horror fans, myself included, have long dreamed of. His ability to read the moments where the audience will expect something and then completely subvert that expectation is brilliant"
